stooool
Year: 2014
Material:
Maple ply, Synthetic felt, Polypropylene belt
It's an object with multiple status. By adjusting the direction of wooden structure and the form of the weaving part, people could decide how the body interact with this soft furniture -- sitting, leaning or lying.
In this interaction process, I give prominence to the in-between moment when the condensed stool is being stretched out and the neon-orange color strips reveals through the top white layer. The dramatic visual effect working with the weighted soft textile creates almost a personal stage for the user to play and witness.
